Bière de Noël is a style of beer traditionally brewed as a celebration of winter. They are rich, strong, dark, Belgian and French Ales that are often brewed with a modest amount of spices. Ours follows in this tradition and is brewed with sweet orange peel, Ceylon cinnamon, clove and a moderate amount of vanilla. This produces a deceptively sweet bouquet of candied cherries, Glühwein, and poached pears. The flavor is much less sweet, and features notes of dried plums, pomegranate, and German spiced cookies. While medium bodied the finish of this beer has highlights of tart cherry and a slight warmth that hints to its strength, this combination produces a pleasant dryness
