Alcohol: 13%

Grape(s): 100% Pinot Noir

Localization: Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA

Tasting Notes: Barrel spice and raspberry come together in the nose, with savory, floral and “sous bois” underpinnings laying a framework for darker, muddled berry fruits. A well-integrated core of acidity produces succulence and juiciness on entry and across the middle, displaying elegant palate balance and edgy, almost chewy tannins that extend the finish.

Notes: Pinots were assembled in the tank in early December after 14 months in a barrel; the “MV” blend was only made a week before bottling. 740 CASES MADE

The Domain: This winery was started by Will Hamilton in 2013 with a focus on Willamette Valley Pinot Noir produced from sourced grapes of five vineyards of friends and growers. The name Violin, is as much a mood as a brand name for Will. He says, "I have chosen a beautiful word that resembles the words 'vino' and "wine." It also includes his son's name, "Olin." The repetition of the 'n' sound is ever-present in the phrase, 'Violin Wine Oregon Pinot Noir.' His goal is to make wine that is long and elegant without hard edges, leaving a lingering feeling of beauty to ponder happily and wanting to come back for more
