Alcohol: 14%
Grape(s): 85% Corvina and Corvinone 10% Rondinella 5% Barbera
Location: Veneto, Italy – northeast of Verona, between Montorio and Valle d’Illasi
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red. Aromas of ripe cherry, plum, and cinnamon, with hints of tobacco and sweet spice. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, and pleasantly tannic, with a silky texture and a lingering finish marked by red fruit and subtle oak.
Notes: Crafted using the Ripasso method—re-passed over Amarone skins without appassimento. Maceration lasts 12–15 days with native yeast fermentation. Aged 12 months in French oak barrels of various sizes. Biodynamic farming with no chemical fertilizers; fresh milk is used as a natural antifungal treatment.
Food pairing: Grilled ribeye, duck ragù, mushroom risotto, braised lamb, or aged cheeses like Monte Veronese and Parmigiano Reggiano. Also pairs beautifully with porcini dishes or dark chocolate desserts.
Winery Story: Musella is a family-run estate led by Emilio Pasqua and his daughter Maddalena. Located in a protected natural park, the estate embraces biodynamic viticulture across its limestone and red clay soils. Their holistic approach includes interplanting with fruit trees and raising animals, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem. The result is wines that are elegant, expressive, and deeply rooted in the Valpolicella terroir.
