Tasting Notes: A pretty light-yellow colour with some golden reflections. The bouquet is powerful and complex. It's an explosion of exotic fruits, flowers and spices. The palate, which perfectly envelops the entire palate, is delicate and delicious. It is a Gewurztraminer with a nice balance between power and finesse.
The Domain: Domaine Albert Mann has heralded the world over as being in the top tier of Alsace producers. Using organic methods guided by biodynamic practices, the Domaine cultivates precisely controlled yields to obtain grapes of elevated maturity and complexity, resulting in wines that produce their own unique style. Never heavy, clumsy or out of balance, each carefully-crafted vintage presents a beautiful delineation of flavors and precise textures.
The goal of the estate is to produce wine that is in harmony with nature. Wine is the memory of the grape and is capable of transmitting the taste of the earth.
Since 2000, the estate's wine have been organically certified by Ecocert. We began practising biodynamic viticulture in 1997 in three Grands Crus vineyards. Over the following years, we applied biodynamics across the entirety of our estate and since 2010, we have been in the process of receiving biodynamic certification from Biodyvin.
The viticultural practice is labour intensive and more costly but it gives the wine the purest reflection of its terroir and its own identity. In plowing the vineyards, we manage to make the roots go down to a maximum depth to capture the minerals of the rock degradation.
