Localization: Beaujolais, France
Tasting Notes: This crisp and flamboyant wine has a beautiful ruby color. Its nose mingles the aromas of cherry, blueberry and raspberry. It is very fine and smooth on the palate and develops notes of licorice and pepper.
Notes: Maceration of whole bunches for 8 to 10 days. 5 months’ ageing in cement tanks. Unfined and lightly filtered before bottling.
Food pairing: Pairs beautifully with local cooked meats, and Ouillette or soft cheese like camembert or brie. At the end of the meal, its fruity aromas will be a perfect match with red berry pie.
The Domain: Maison Trénel is a house of tradition, the Burgundian tradition, that of fruit creams, but not just any fruit, those of Burgundy.
From its creation in 1928, the taste for authenticity was there. Created in 1928 by Henri Claudius Trénel and becoming a local reference with his son André, our House has kept the authentic family spirit of its beginnings. A philosophy that seduced the famous Maison M. CHAPOUTIER, with which we collaborate today.
Our House has been established for more than 80 years in the heart of the southern Burgundy vineyard. Friendships and strong relationships linked over generations with the best winegrowers in the region help us obtain our grape varieties' quintessence.
Facing the Roche de Solutré, on the southern tip of Burgundy or in Beaujolais, we create elegant and refined wines, typical of their appellations. With many riches.
