The Luneau family estate has been in operation since 1680. Now, ninth generation winegrower Raphael has been crafting exquisite Muscadet wines from their vines since 2010, after learning from his father Remy. The 2015 Raphael Luneau Domaine R de la Grange is classic, clean 100% Melon de Bourgogne, with strong notes of nectarine, wet stone minerality, a hint of honey, and a long, juicy finish that lingers. The tried and true pairing of oysters and Muscadet would work with this wine. However, I think that this wine would pair so well with dakos (greek bruschetta) topped with fresh tomatoes, buffalo milk feta, tarragon and cracked pepper. This is an utterly refreshing wine that is perfect for Summer and won’t last long at this price!
