Tasting Notes: Pale lemon in color, Quinta do Ameal Loureiro has a great aromatic intensity, dominated by citrus and floral aromas. On the palate, it is vibrant and balanced, with a fresh and persistent finish.

Notes: Manual harvest, pneumatic pressing of whole grapes. Cold decantation of the must for 48 hours. Fermentation at controlled temperatures 10–15ºC for 12 to 15 days in stainless steel vats. In stainless steel vat with contact with the fine lees, for about 7 months.

The Domain: Located in the Lima sub-region, in the Vinho Verde wine region, Quinta do Ameal is a historic property with records that date back to 1710. Extending along 800 meters of riverbank, the Estate measures approximately 30 hectares, 14 of which are occupied by organic Loureiro vineyards. Over the years, Ameal has become a pioneer in establishing the capacity of the Loureiro variety to produce high-quality white wines with great aging potential.

The combination of Quinta do Ameal’s unique characteristics, location, granite soils, typical climate, and agricultural practices that respect nature, result in singular wines, with a character and aging potential that reflect different expressions of the Loureiro grape variety.
