Tasting Notes: This has a very pale, clear yellow color. Fragrant aromas of white peaches, honeyed orange rind, lime talc, and pear blossoms introduce this lovely glass of wine. The palate is generous and creamy with flavors of pears, oranges, and a clean, refreshing finish of peach, citrus, and a hint of flinty minerals. This isn't a "fizzy" wine, but there is Vinho Verde's trademark delicate and subtle spritz that makes the clean and ripe fruit flavors on the palate even more refreshing. The finish is beautifully persistent. This is light and graceful and still full of flavor.
Food Pairing: It is perfect for a summer beach trip, for a pool party, for porch sipping, for a "first course", as a lunch wine, or anytime you want a wine that's refreshing and flavorful and not at all heavy. It is so versatile it could be used almost any day of the week and it just may become a house favorite.
