Food pairing: Very good choice for appetizers in general. This variety's persistence means it harmonizes well with fish, seafood, salads, poultry and oriental cuisine.

The Domain: Quinta de Gomariz is located in the Vale do Ave Sub-Region, the heart of the Vinhos Verdes region, between the cities of Porto and Braga. Today having an area of approximately 17 hectares, our vineyards have excellent characteristics for the production of high quality Vinho Verde.

Research and innovation are our main allies in producing excellent quality wines, which have received national and international recognition year after year.

In a building built from scratch, the Winery was born, with the purpose of housing the “New Generation of Vinhos Verdes”. A versatile and functional construction, where the most modern technology is used, in which continuous research and innovation are the main allies, to create a wine with a unique and avant-garde profile.

Exposing the entire area to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, a phenomenon reinforced by the orientation of the valleys of the main rivers, which run from east to west, facilitates the penetration of sea winds.

The current Vinho Verde Demarcated Region extends across the entire northwest of the country. Its limits to the north are the river Minho (border with Galicia), to the east and south mountainous areas that constitute the natural separation between the Entre-Douro-e-Minho-Atlântico and the interior areas of the country with more Mediterranean characteristics, and, finally, the Atlantic Ocean, which constitutes its western limit.

The vineyards are located on loam soils, with a light texture and well drained, offering excellent sun exposure, giving their grapes a golden color, easily reaching full maturity, which is why their wines are some of the best in the entire region.
