Jour de Soif is 100% cabernet franc (one of two parent grapes of cabernet sauvignon). It's from the acclaimed Domaine Gauthier estate in the Bourgeuil AOC of France's Loire Valley (across the river from Chinon). Un-oaked, ultra-flavorful, and low in tannin, this red wine complements almost any meal. It even comes from from the extraordinary 2019 vintage. ABV is 13.5%.

It has brilliant ruby-purple color. The perfumed aromas suggest roses, ripe raspberries, black cherries, cocoa, and subtle dried herbs. It has long-lasting flavors of ripe cherries, raspberries, herbs and spice along with a juicy texture and soft fine tannins. The finish adds a dusting of slate minerals. The juicy, ripe red fruit and spice flavors are balanced by cool-climate freshness and acidity. There's no oak and it's not at all heavy. It's an extremely versatile wine that can be paired with meals from chicken to veggies, to salmon, to steak.
