Lucien Crochet Sancerre 2018

Lucien Crochet’s 2018 Sancerre is concentrated, brightly focused, and infused with rocky minerals.  On the palate the 2018 is pristinely balanced and a pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc, that was fermented in stainless steel, but spent considerable time on the lees, resulting in a more concentrated, serious wine.

Arising from vineyards in Bué, Vinon and Crézancy, the wine is remarkably complex, compelling and individualistic.  Critics and producers agree that 2018 as a very solid vintage across Sancerre, that produced balanced, and perfectly ripened fruit.  Lucien Crochet is a profound example of the best qualities of the vintage and an incredible value that simply should not be missed.
