This is barrel-aged, estate-bottled red Bordeaux made at Chateau Siran in Margaux from hand-harvested cabernet sauvignon (44%), merlot (30%), and cabernet franc (26%).
It was grown in a vineyard bordering the Margaux AOC, classified as Bordeaux Superieur, and is from the outstanding 2015 vintage (93-point vintage rating Wine Spectator; 94 Wine Enthusiast).
This is medium- to full-bodied Bordeaux with outstanding purity, length, texture, and complexity. There are classic left-bank Bordeaux aromas of flowers, dark berries, blackcurrants, spice, and vanilla. The palate shows out those black fruits and spicy/herbal notes with fine structure and subtle oak character.
Pairs with a robust stew or grilled meats.
