Localization: Sonoma Mountain, Sonoma Valley, Sonoma County, California
Tasting Notes: This wine is tremendously complex, with intense aromas of green apple and sea spray, flavors of flint & citrus, and is structured by vibrant acidity. As the wine opens, notes of roasted almonds, pineapple, lemon, and butter become more evident. Big, lavish, full-bodied, and mouth-watering, this is a true California-style Chardonnay.
The Domain: Founded in 1978, Kistler Vineyards is a small, family-owned and operated winery specializing in the production of Burgundian style Chardonnay and limited amounts of Pinot Noir. Grapes are estate grown and purchased from vineyards in Sonoma County. In 1992, Kistler Vineyards moved all production to its Vine Hill Road Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.
