Alcohol: 13.7%
Grape(s): Cabernet Sauvignon
Localization: Columbia Valley, Washington, US
Tasting notes: All of the Cabernet for this wine comes from 1978 plantings at Wahluke Slope Vineyard. Aromas of tar, black currant and dried herbs lead to lithe fruit flavors supported by a fine sense of acidity and tannic structure. Plum flavors linger on the finish. A lovely sense of balance connects it all.
The Domain: Not only is this wine a treat in the glass, but Andrew Latta (winemaker/owner) also gives back to the community with every bottle purchased.
From Andrew: "We're inspired by taking the name KIND STRANGER quite literally and turning toward others around us. We've seen our national landscape shift a bit recently and we feel it's as important as ever to be a real kind stranger in the world. Proceeds from this wine benefit Mary's Place at the local level here in Seattle and the International Rescue Committee on a broader scale". Andrew ages this for 22 months in barrel, of which 15% is new French oak
