Jérémie Huchet took over the Château-Thébaud family estate in 2001 from his father Yves, a renowned winegrower in the western part of the Loire. Over the years, Jérémie has expanded his domain to some 57 hectares. The main vinification work is done in the cellars of a beautiful old monastery. All vineyards have been certified as sustainable agriculture since 2001, but Huchet had stopped using non-natural resources years before. The winery is fully dedicated to the production of Muscadet wines, made from melon de Bourgogne. This grape is very capable of fully conveying the specific terroir of a particular place. Huchet works with different plots on different terroirs. Per cuvée, location, soil and subsoil are very decisive. In all cases, the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Loire is great.
