The Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes, Yorkshire sources its milk from small local farms and provides work to over 200 residents of the surrounding area. In 2013, the company was awarded Protected Geographical Indication status for the name "Yorkshire Wensleydale", recognizing and protecting its important link with Yorkshire.
