50/50 split of nero d'avola and syrah from vintage to vintage. Fermentation is in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by eight months in American Oak and a further six months in bottle before release.
92 points: "...opens to wonderful aromatics of cherries and wild berries which are woven together with spices, forest floor, herbs and licorice. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a gorgeous silky texture and beautiful overall balance through the finish. While this should offer short-term aging potential, there is no need to wait, it is drinking remarkably well today."

91 points: "...this wine opens a much wider window onto aromas of black cherry, plum, spice, tar and leather. I get a good sense of the Syrah, thanks to the richly textured nature of the mouthfeel with the dark berry flavors of the Sicilian grape. This vintage of Baglio Sorìa Santagostino puts this wine enthusiastically back in play."
