Alcohol: 14,5%

Grape(s): Southern Rhone Red Blend

Localisation: Mont Ventoux, Southern France

Tasting Note: Its intense “robe” and darkness will give you a precise indication of the aromatics and structure inside the bottle. Syrah is the main grape associated to Grenache. This cuvée allies powerfulness and elegance.

Domaine: Domaine de Berane has been created in March 2000 by Anne-Claire Rabatel and Bertrand Ferary. Its creation corresponds in fact to an ultimate thoughtful life project. We primarily acquired training in Burgundy and Beaujolais. Because we really love the wines made in the Rhone Valley, we found and acquired about 10 hectares, in Provence, precisely in the AOP Ventoux. The next step was the construction of our own winery which we did in 2005.

We are located on the Mediterranean side of Mont Ventoux, also called the Giant of Provence (1909 meters high) , 30 minutes far from Avignon.
Our Domain stands at 330 meters high at the heart of a wild and ondulating site. Visitors will really appreciate the quietness of this area among truffle oaks, olive trees and cherry trees.

We stand around two essential values: 1)The respect of nature and soils. We have chosen the salamander as a logo because we find it among the surrounding trails. This little amphibian really needs unpolluted areas to live and survive; and 2)The expression of the “Terroir” (soil) through the production of authentic and sincere wines, far from fashion trends or market demands.
