Localization: Maconnais, Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: It's 100% Chardonnay made all in the tank from the outstanding (if small) vintage. A bit shy on the nose right now, but bold and intense on the palate. Lip-smacking acids support a fine load of ripe and fleshy citrus and orchard fruit flavors. The definition here is superb, with flavors of fruit, fresh butter, toasted hazelnut, and chalky mineral each distinct and yet perfectly integrated. We love the energy, length, and drive here - and love the value price even more!
Food pairing: This wine is delicious as an aperitif, perfect with fish, seafood, or poultry dishes, a perfect Thanksgiving wine.
The Domain: Located in the very heart of Burgundy, the members of the family Lemonier have handed down their estate from generation to generation for the past two centuries.
