Grape(s): 100% Chardonnay
Localization: Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: This wine presents a greedy attack, an aromatic nose with a fruity mouth.
Notes: This cuvée comes from the selection of a plot located at a place called "La Charmone", vines 25 years old, on shallow soils mainly clay and limestone, remarkable for its full west exposure;
Classic vinification: mechanical harvest, thermal controls of the fermentation which takes place in vats before Christmas.
The wines remain on the fine lees until bottling in April.
Food pairing: In its early years, this wine will be appreciated as an aperitif and during its maturation will gladly accompany all kinds of vegetable or fish terrines or cooked white meats as well as the famous regional Mâconnais.
The Domain: The reputation of the local wine tradition began, according to legend, in 1660 when Claude Brosse, merchant, made known the Mâcon wines Louis XIV.
Domaine Gueugnon Remond, located in the heart of the Mâconnais, is renowned for its exceptional wines.
With 14 hectares of vineyards spread around Charnay-lès-Mâcon (71 Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy), Véronique and Jean-Christophe Remond, owners and harvesters, offer a wide selection of appellations and grape varieties of the most fruity to more complex.
