Grape(s): 100% Melon de Bourgogne
Localization: Loire Valley, France
Tasting Notes: Resulting from a harmonious blend of the different terroirs of La Haye Fouassière, La Quilla combines both the balance and the vivacity sought in a Muscadet. Showcasing a crunchy minerality with vivacity and freshness, this wine is aromatic with green apple, citrus, and white peach.
Notes: Pneumatic pressing, aged for 6 months exclusively on fine lees with batonnage. Neutral yeast are chosen to let the terroir express itself (no aromatic yeast). Fermentation and settling with temperature control.
Food pairing: Enjoy with seafood, marinière mussels, and other shellfish or on its own as an aperitif.
The Domain: Domaines Vinet is a family-run wine estate, created in 1948 and located in the Nantes vineyards of the Loire Valley. Gérard Vinet took over from his father in 1980, and today he and his son Laurence continue the family tradition of sustainable cultivation (HVE and TERRA VITIS). The estate comprises 55 hectares = in the communes of La Haye-Fouassière and Château Thébaud in the historic heart of the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation.
