Tasting Notes: Conquilla Brut Cava has fine, delicate bubbles and a citrusy nose with overtones of bay leaf and orange. Velvety on the palate, with good acidity framing notes of white fruit and a hint of almond on the finish.
Notes: All estate-fruit. After primary fermentation, a long, slow secondary fermentation at low temperature followed by twelve months aging sur lie in bottle before disgorgement.

The Domain: Conquilla estate in Catalonia, Spain. The estate is located about 60 kilometers west of Barcelona and is farmed sustainably using local varieties of Xarello, Macabeu, and Parellada. The wine is made by husband and wife team Anna and Jordi Valles using the traditional method for classic Cava.
The name Conquilla is Catalan for "shell" and refers to the estate's origins in the sedimentary limestone soils of the Penedès valley.
