Château Moulin de Tricot Margaux 2018

Only 5 left!

Alcohol: 13%

Grape(s): Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

Localisation: Margaux, Bordeaux, France

Tasting Notes: Arsac's sand-laden gravel soils brings soaring aromatic of violets, tobacco, graphite, and cedar tied to the restrained flavors of blackcurrant and plum.

Notes: This small jewel of an estate produces a mere 15,000 bottles of Margaux per annum. Heavily dependent on Cabernet Sauvignon (at least three-fourths of the cuvée), this wine has a distinguished structure and complex flavors that beg for additional aging in the bottle. The elevage in barrel extends for eighteen months at which point the wine is bottled without filtration.

The Domain: Château Moulin de Tricot was founded in the 19th century by the Rey family and is located just 30 kilometers north of the city of Bordeaux. The family farms their five hectares of vines without the use of chemicals and encourages low yields via dense planting.
