Chateau Moulinat is located on limestone, gravel and sandy soils in Bordeaux's Entre Deux Mers region, between the rivers Garonne and Dordogne. It's 58% Merlot (for plump richness), 36% Cabernet Sauvignon (for structure and finesse) and 6% Cabernet Franc (for herby perfume). This all-tank red is utterly delicious right now (even though you can hold it for 5-7 years if you'd like). It's remarkably plump, plush and rich and loaded with blackcurrant and dark cherry fruit. The Cab Franc delivers pretty accents of dried herb and tobacco on the nose and palate while the Cab Sauv provides a nice, focused, touch of structure.
