This is the wine that defined just how good a Champagne can be. There is no better grower and no better producer than Cédric Bouchard.
Antonio Galloni refers to these wines as “…some of the most treasured bottles I own.”
“The explosive, kaleidoscopic Champagnes of Cedric Bouchard are some of the most compelling wines coming out of the region today. Quite simply, this set of new releases left me speechless and literally shaking my head in awe. Readers should do whatever they can to experience these magnificent wines."
This is the great 2018 harvest of the stunning wine that helped change what people think is possible in Champagne. It’s entirely Pinot Noir, entirely from a small vineyard area named "Côte de Val Vilaine" with a total area under 1.5 hectares, and entirely from the excellent 2018 harvest. Cedric works this vineyard by hand, organically. His yields are below Champagne norms, way below. Hand harvesting allowed him to select only perfect grapes. His vineyard work makes his Champagne richer, fuller, and more concentrated than other Champagnes despite zero chaptalization and zero dosage.
