Alcohol: 14%

Grape(s): 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec

Localization: Mendoza. Argentina

Tasting Notes: It is made with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec, and stands out for having "an expressive and seductive aroma where notes of blackberry and cherry are combined with black pepper, coffee, tobacco leaves and cocoa. On the palate, it is a wine with good body and subtle freshness, velvety texture and a persistent finish."

Notes: The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon come from Finca El Alto, located in Luján de Cuyo. Cabernet Sauvignon is a long-cycle variety, its greatest potential is on warm summer days like those in this area, which has more clayey soils, which improves the texture of the wines, giving them more structure and finesse on the palate.

The Domain:The story of Doña Paula, a winery in Mendoza, Argentina, is one of innovation, sustainability, and a commitment to producing world-class wines: In 1997, a Chilean businessman acquired his first vineyard in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo, after realizing the region's potential for premium wines.

Doña Paula's philosophy is to produce authentic expressions of Argentina's terroirs. They believe that Argentina's Malbec has a unique personality and that the soils have great potential for other premium varieties.

Doña Paula's research program, "Terroir in Focus", includes soil and climate studies, sensory appreciation of the wines, and identifying specific plots of calcareous-rich soils.

Doña Paula is one of the most awarded Argentinian growers of premium wines.
