Tasting Notes: A natural, frank, and typical red wine from the southern Côtes-du-Rhône, a blend of old Grenache and Syrah over 60 years old. The Vieilles Vignes cuvée carries the richness of its terroir and a beautiful energy. It offers a velvety wine with long notes of red fruits, blackcurrant, black cherries and spicy blackberries

The Domain: Winemaker Jean T'Kint bought Domaine de La Banate in 2011 and immediately began its conversion to organic farming, applying natural methods that promote the life of the soil and the balance of the vine. The 4-hectare parcel is hand-harvested in order to select only ripe and healthy bunches. The natural vinification from the grape's own yeasts, without additives, and estate-bottling testify to the desire to offer a frank, lively wine faithful to the best of tradition. The deep, draining and cool clay-sandy soil, as well as the altitude (340m) give the wines of Rousset-les-Vignes a touch of exceptional acidity and a freshness unequaled among southern Côtes-du-Rhône.
