Alcohol: 13.5%
Grape(s): Pinot Noir
Localization: Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: Ruby to garnet in color, with a nose lending aromas of red fruits and spices. Good balance between fruit, acidity, and tannins. A delicate wine with elegant complexity. The best vintages are ideally aged from 5 to 7 years to fully appreciate the wine.
Notes: From the vineyard to the winery, each operation is adapted to the vintage to make the best wines possible and to fully express the parcel’s terroir. 33% of new oak barrels are used for the aging process.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs wonderfully with light meat dishes.
The Domain: The vineyards face east-southeast at an altitude of 260m (850 feet), with rocky limestone soils of “Comblanchien” which shows on the surface, as there is very little top soil. Les Charmes is just below Clos de la Roche, and next to Mazoyères-Chambertin.
