Tasting Notes: Sauvignon blanc with fruity aromas of citrus and stewed fruit, followed by notes of rhubarb, broom, pepper and flint. The wine is soft and supple with a strong mineral touch that can develop for several years.
Food pairing: This wine generally goes well with pork, vegetarian or shellfish.
The Domain: The Neveu family, viticulturist father and son, have been based in the heart of the Chavignol vineyards for generations, and today carry on the tradition of the great Sancerrois vignerons.
Valérie (André Neveu’s daughter), and her husband Thomas, now run the Domaine that extends to about 13 hectares of vines of AOC Sancerre red, white and rosé.
They harvest, vinify and sell everything themselves.
