Tasting Notes: The Château Les Arromans Bordeaux has deep ruby color. The fragrant bouquet suggests roses, strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants, along with licorice and a beautiful spice note. The palate is rich and full, with flavors of berries, currants and subtle spice and minerals adding complexity. There's great concentration in the long, pure, and velvety-textured finish.
Notes: Soil- Clay & Limestone
Aging- Stainless Steel tanks
Food Pairing: Drink this delicious Bordeaux today with grilled lamb chops, herb roasted chicken, or with a selection of mature cheeses. Enjoy it over the next half decade. This wine is so impressive, it's hard to believe the price.
The Domain: Jean, father of Joel Duffau, created his estate called Les Arromans. The first wines were bottled exclusively for private customers. Joel's grandfather was a precursor in 1928 to the direct to customer sale. The estate grew on 30 hectares in Moulon Village. In 1998, Jean and Sylvette retired and shared their vineyard, winery and customers between the two brothers: Joel and Eric. Joel took over 14 hectares in vineyard rental system to his parents and the winery.
Since 1999, the two Chateaux are vinified in the winery of Les Arromans. Joel has worked to convert his vineyards to organic viticulture in his aim to respect the environment. He uses traditional techniques (planting grass, debudding, thinning out the leaves) and vines planting at 5000 stocks per hectare.
