The Domain: Abiouness Wines was founded by Nicole Abiouness, who discovered her passion for food and wine after graduating from college. She moved to Napa Valley in 1995 to attend The Culinary Institute of America, where she immersed herself in wine courses and gained hands-on experience at Swanson Vineyards.
Nicole’s journey took her to wine regions worldwide, including the Barossa Valley in Australia, Sauternes in France, and Burgundy. She returned to Napa Valley and worked at several wineries before starting her winemaking venture.
Nicole made her first batch of Sangiovese wine in 1999 and founded Abiouness Wines in 2000. The winery’s first wine was a Pinot Noir from the Carneros region. The name “Abiouness” comes from her Lebanese heritage, and the label features a lotus flower, symbolizing purity and beauty.
Abiouness Wines is known for its Sangiovese and Pinot Noir, and Nicole continues to produce wines that reflect her dedication to quality and her love for the winemaking process.
