Tasting Notes:  You could enjoy an evening divining the flavors in this supple, ripe sauvignon blanc, a little mango, and maybe pineapple squirted with a bit of lime. It’s neither aggressively grassy nor earthbound minerally. It’s like “Wordle” — which five flavors can you taste? In other words, diverting and fun. And yummy.

The Domain: Pablo Morandé founded Viña Morandé in 1996. He did it with a great vision for the future and with the same audacity that drove him, years earlier, to be the first person to plant vines in the Casablanca Valley. Viña Morandé is innovative in producing and marketing Mediterranean varieties such as Cinsault, Carignan, and Garnacha, in a region where others are solely focused on traditional varieties and old vines.
Their pioneering spirit has always led them to go a step beyond. Some of these
innovations are:
- the planting of high-density crops to improve quality
- the adoption of the enological practice of using concrete eggs
- using the traditional-but-often-forgotten large oak foudres for producing
reserve-level wines
- being the first winery in Chile to produce a late harvest wine
- being the first winery in Chile to be recognized as 100% sustainable
