Tasting Notes: The Castillo De Enguera Reserva Valencia D.O. from the Valencia wine region, aged in barrel, reveals itself in the glass in dense purple, ruby red. At the edge also shows a color transition to garnet red. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Spain offers wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, mulberry, blueberry and blackcurrant, rounded off by other fruity nuances contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

Food pairing: This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to goose breast with gingered red cabbage and marjoram, pumpkin casserole or roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce.

The Domain: With its unique family-owned vineyards dating back to 1852, Marqués de Murrieta is the largest continuous single estate in the Rioja Alta region. The winery, headquartered at the freshly restored Castillo de Ygay, is helmed by Count V. Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, whose vision for innovation and respect for tradition continue to shape the philosophy of this iconic Spanish property.
